hey wirey just wondering how many cm you have lost since you left the routine, i remember have seen in your progress 2.5 inches, and now just 2 inches, that mean you have lost 0.5 inches (1.2cm)?

i asking because there are people in the height forum who claim that "growth trough stretches" isn't permanent,

He only lose 0.25" that he gain through inversion table.

The 2" seems to be permanent.

I think as long as you are taking in enough nutrients, protein, etc. You'll be okay. Everyone's body weight is different. Take in a healthy diet, and one for your TARGET height and weight, not present one.

ok, i'm gonna blow the dust off of this ancient thread

In my opinion, I think WireySpindell has reached his maximum potential. its been well over a year since his last success with HI. But I use him as an example to make a greater point which is that I think there is a set maximum amount of height that HI can yield and once that maximum is attained, no more growth is likely. Maybe I'm wrong but that seems to explain what I perceive to be Wirey's lack of growth for such a long time. It looks like his body would only allow 2 inches and once that happened, that was it.

What do you guys think? Can you only grow so much from HI or is it limitless. I highly doubt its limitless.

Well he did mention in some other thread that he was gonna post an update regarding his attained height, as well as his new height routine, around Christmas/New Year's, so don't assume that he didn't gain any more height. Still, you are probably right about the fact that one can hardly achieve over 2 or 3 inches of height increase in spine, thats what peoples experiences were so far. However, don't forget about the legs! There were at least a couple of people on this forum who gained 1.5 to 2 inches in legs. Now imagine how much your height increase would be if you stretched your spine AND your legs! We're talking about possible gains of 4 to 6 inches here! As for me, I'm going for at least 5'11 (I'm 5'7 now), so I'll first try to lengthen my spine and my arms through hanging, and then try to take care of my legs.

I think there isn't a point to postulate about things like this. I mean, maybe there is a ceiling and maybe there isn't, but at the end of the day it's just opinions on either side with no data to back it up. It's just pure guesswork. I say, cross that bridge when you get there. Get 2", THEN you can really find out the answer. For what it's worth, I DO think more growth is possible for myself- I've just lacked the push to make it happen. After all, you need pretty serious desire to stick to any routine for a YEAR, and I haven't had that for the most part after hitting my present height. I do believe that their is a balance that met be met that can limit growth- ie if I've grown 2" in the spine, I must grow in the legs before the spine grows any more, but this is a bit different. It is an interesting question, but one that at the end of the day has no answer, and one that for the most part is irrelevant to anyone who hasn't grown at least 2". My POV is that since we don't know the answer, there is no reason to put up artificial boundaries in your mind. I will always assume growth is limitless, until proven otherwise.

well, i'm glad you didn't take my postulating the wrong way. plenty of other people would of thought I was trying to make some kind of a 'bold statement.'

I believe there is a ceiling, a barrier, that once you hit that plateau, its done. Now your not exactly an old man (being about 25 or 26) in fact your young, but as you get older the body is gonna release less and less HGH and the biggest drop off happens around mid 20's to early 30's so I'm just saying I think your in for an uphill battle. However, I do think you could reach 5'11.

There probably are only ceilings we create for ourselves in not believing we can get taller or the fact that we lack motivation to try harder after a while. I belive most gains come from routines that are motivated. For example, after 1 year of a routine, you're pretty tired of it, and knowing that the gains are permanent, you slack off. However after months off, you get tired of being your present height, and you get motivated to do the routine again. You're body isn't used to the routine anymore, so you get good gains again, like the first year.
