Hi all. I am so glad I found this site about a month ago. I've been excited about this and have wanted to post my progress.
Earlier this year, like in January or Febuary, I took a Human Factors class. One day we did measurements and I was shocked with mine. I expected some of it, but after comparing to the statistics, I was even more shocked. I was measured at the height of 68.8 or 5' 8.8". That was with shoes on and all height statistis are usually with about 1 in shoes on. The guy who measured me was 6 foot, he could clearly see over my head to make accurate measurements. We measured the arms and legs too.
Long story short, my torso and arms were about as long as the 6 footers. According to statistics, I am avg height, above avg for torso and arms, and below avg for leg length. I was 20 years old, and I have not grown much since 16 years old.
Now, in Sept, I am 21 and I really doubted that I would grow anymore since I haven't grown much at all since I was 16 years old (I was 5'8 back then, with shoes obviously). So I came across this site after I saw some other height increase sites. Before I really thought HI was stupid and not possible. I was quickly reminded of a Baby Muppets episode where Gonzo was trying to lengthen himself with weighs on his feet and hanging. I thought it was stupid, but now i am a believer. Here are before and after pics.

That was the pic that started my ascension. I now use the top of the door hinge as a marker for my height measurements. The very top of the hinge is about 72.4 inches and the bottom is about 1/8 under 69 inches.

This was taken about 1 month after. I'm actually standing back against the door whereas the other pic I wasn't even against the door.

This is an overlay that proves my legs/inseam has gotten longer and my posture also improved.
I started in the beginning of Sept after taking a picture of myself for a friend. It reminded me of my short legs and so I began my ascension routine after some research on these site and board. I have a lil bit more than a full inch within the period of about a month. I thought that was astonishingly fast and I doubt I will grow at this rate any longer, but we will see. With shoes on, I am 5'10,give or take a cm depending on the shoes. Of course I rather list my barefeet height right before bed to be honest with myself, which is about dead on 5'9 today. I gain about 1/2 inch in the morning depending on how long I slept.
I focused mostly on leg lengthening since my torso is above avg length. I sprint on concrete or raised bike sprint with 2.5 lb ankle weights before bed. I then do stretches, like 2 sets of 10 sec of 7 exercises.; nothing major, as I don't think stretching will give immediate results no matter how much you stretch. Then I strap on the 10 lb each ankle weights and go to bed. I try to keep them on all night, but they usally last about 2-3 hours before I throw them off or pull my legs up. Sometimes I can go through the whole night, it just depends.
As supplements go, I take multivitamins, glucosamine, calcium and zinc. I drink one glass of milk and eat yogurt usually too. I lift weights 2-3 times a week also. I do stay away from all leg exercises except body weight raised, single calf lifts. I have not noticed any height/spine decrease after lifting weighs and I lift some decently heavy weights for size. I measure my height all the time in the bathroom mirrror.
My spine and legs have gotten longer since my spine is also stretched when I lay with ankles. I say about 50/50, maybe a lil bit more in the legs. I can tell a difference when I sit down with my knee next to the coffee table. I will continue to do this until next summer to make sure all of it is permanent and hopefully by then I will be something close to 71 in / 180 cm barefoot, making me 6 foot with shoes on. I am satisfied with my gains already, but I like to shoot for a higher goal. So, let us ascend! I look forward to reading new progress and trying new HI methods other members come up with. _________________ Age: mid 21

All three links work for me. All of those pics were taken late night, a couple of hours before bed. I find that my spine fully compresses within 2-3 hours after I walk around awake for some reason; maybe because I have bad posture? The large height difference in the overlay is due to my bad posture in the shorter pic. But you can still see the difference in my legs as they both are fully extende in both pics. I tried to maintain constant variables when I took the pics. _________________ Age: mid 21

Hey man, first off, congratulations on your gains. It's starting to seem like sleeping with ankle weights is a way to gain height fast. Thanks for posting before and after pictures- most people just don't bother taking a before pic, and when they do grow, they have nothing to compare it to. Man, there's nothing better than a new guy coming on here and saying "Hey, I looked over this site, made a routine from what I learned, and had success". Sometimes, you just gotta make it happen. Good stuff. _________________ Cheers,

Cheers man.
I have questions though, how long do you sprint for(mins) and what sets? And do you take anything right before or after the exercises and just hit bed right away? |

The sprints don't last very long at all. I do 5 bouts of a 85-95% intensity that last for about 10-15 seconds or so. Rest for about 20-30 second inbetween. I hope to develop enough endurance to keep increasing the number of sets until like 12 or so sets.
I try to cycle everyday before bed. I sprint exactly 1 mile on it, half the mile going 60 mph (that's what it says on my bike) and then the rest at 40 mph down to 30 mph and down to full slow stretch stroke until I hit 1 full mile. This whole thing only last for about 1.5 - 2 minutes. Some days I go 2-3 miles at about 40 mph.
So my leg exercises are short but intense. Sometimes if I'm am not too tired, I will cycle and sprint. Hopefully that will produce some GH (along with the weight lifting), fracture some shin bone, and stretch the cartilage. Somethings seems to be happening. I usually take the supplements before or right after and then go straight to bed so I don't put too much pressure on the legs.
I'll post more pictures when I acutally see a signicant difference in height. Due to lots of school work lately, I haven't been able to keep up the routine or sleep enough everynight. So I haven't seen much growth as of recently. _________________ Age: mid 21
